Product Description
Bacitracin, is a small cyclic polypeptide that binds to dolichol-PP preventing its dephosphorylation to dolichol-P, which is needed for building the oligosaccharides including glycolipids required for extracellular cell wall synthesis. Bacitracin is not cell-permeable, so even though it has similar activity to tunicamycin on bacteria, it is harmless to eukaryotes cells.
