Product Description
Naphthaleneacetic Acid, also known as NAA, is a phytohormone auxin that is generally used in cell culture media. Auxins are an important factor in growth regulation and shoot elongation. Naphthaleneacetic Acid has been observed to increase rooting percentage and the number of adventitious roots when applied to plants. NAA is an additive to many popular plant culture media such as Murashige and Skoog (MS) and Chu (N6) Medium.
bioWORLD's Plant Tissue Culture Grade NAA is provided as a highly purified solid, with a purity guaranteed above 95%. This quality plant growth hormone is easily soluble in many organic solvents. It is recommended to dissolve Napthalaneacetic Acid in an organic solvent such as Acetone or Methanol before adding to aqueous media solutions. At low concentrations, solid NAA may be added directly to powder media formulations.
For all of your plant tissue culture media needs, bioWORLD also provides Naphthaleneacetic Acid as a sterile solution for direct use in media solutions. For an even easier to use product, we recommend our prepared Murashige and Skoog (MS) Modified Medium w/ NAA & BA. This medium provides all you need for improving adventitious root growth with no hassle and at an economic price.
bioWORLD's products are supplied for LABORATORY RESEARCH USE ONLY. The product may not be used as a drug, agricultural or pesticidal product, food additive or as a household chemical.
