Kinetin (6-Furfuryl-aminopurine) is a plant tissue-culture tested cytokinin growth regulator. Kinetin is an adenine-type cytokinin phytohormone used in plant culture media like Murashige & Skoog media alongside auxins. Kinetin is used to induce the fomation of callus and to regenerate plant tissues from callus.
