Product Description
Macerozyme R-10 is derived from Rhizopus sp. and is used in protoplast isolation. This macerating enzyme separates cells individually from a plant tissue sample. When used along with Cellulase, Macerozyme digests the plant cell wall.
Ultra Pure Macerozyme R-10 contains small amounts of Pectinase and Hemicellulase. It has an activity of >3,000 U/mg and is readily dissolved in aqueous solutions. For best results, culture plant samples in our Protoplast Regeneration Medium before attempting isolation.
