Product Description
2,4-Epibrassinolide is a naturally found plant growth regulator, with a similar structure to mammalian steroids. When used in plant tissue culture, this brassinosteroid has the potential to inhibit aging, stimulate germination and foliage, as well as induce hermaphrodite and female flowers. In stressful environments, Epibrassinolide has even been shown to decrease toxicity by increasing photosynthesis and antioxidant enzymes.
For direct use in plant tissue culture, bioWORLD provides a 1 mg/mL sterile solution of 2,4-Epibrassinolide. This highly purified powder may also be added to any of over 60 Murashige and Skoog (MS) Medium formulations provided by bioWORLD for enhanced plant growth.
