Product Description
Lysozyme is an enzyme used to lyse bacterial cells for genomic and plasmid purification. It functions by compromising the peptidoglycan in Gram-positive bacterial cell walls. Lysozyme derived from hen egg whites has a higher heat tolerance than other sources.
Molecular Biology Grade Lysozyme is a high quality powder, ready to be solubilized in aqueous solutions. A 10 mg/mL solution is available for purchase for your convenience. Lysozyme is often used along with RNase A for DNA extraction.
bioWORLD offers all of the buffers and reagents needed for DNA and RNA extraction, as well as a number of comprehensive kits.
bioWORLD's products are supplied for LABORATORY RESEARCH USE ONLY. The product may not be used as a drug, agricultural or pesticidal product, food additive or as a household chemical.
